A Call for Eternity
“Instant Paradise” is the name of the exhibition in the Bamberg – Villa Dessauer Gallery, which from May 2023 will be dedicated to the works of the conceptual artist Swaantje Güntzel. The title promises something paradisiacal, but the artistic view goes to the dark side of the hereafter. With her work, the Hamburg artist denounces the alienation of man from nature. In her work “Najin & Fatu” Güntzel deals with one topic, perhaps the most urgent one. These are the last two northern white rhino females on earth, living in a reserve. Mother and daughter could only save the continued existence of their species through a complex arrangement of artificial insemination. A story that has already attracted a great deal of media interest.
Upon the occasion of this exhibition, Audio Logo produced a sound card in a limited edition of 50 pieces, which when opened, makes sounds of the two rhinoceros. Entitled ‘Forever’, the folded card features a silhouette of a female rhino filled with signal pink on a cyan background and bears the artist’s design signature and was produced with a matching printed shipping carton. Sustainability was also considered in this production with replaceable batteries.
This special card makes the Audio Logo team particularly proud. Raising media attention for a dying species is one of the most essential things sound in print can do.
