Audio Logo combines its lighting innovations Bright-Bild® and Secret-Paper® for the PRINT & DIGITAL CONVENTION
The trade fair is organized by the Fachverband Medienproduktion e. V. (f:mp.) and Messe Düsseldorf (drupa).
The trade fair event took place in Düsseldorf at the end of June and invited the most important decision makers from the German speaking print world. The two days of the congress focused on solutions for combining classic print communication with the latest digital and online strategies. The press kit for visiting journalists combined high-quality printing with lighted electronic components exempliying a spirit of innovation. Audio Logo, a strategic partner of f:mp. since 2018, has once again proven that paper can bridge the gap as a multisensory dialogue medium in an unexpected way. Under the conceptual motto “think outside the box”, a surprising press kit was created, which caught the attention of trade press representatives.
Sabine Geldermann, Project Director of drupa & Print Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, reacted enthusiastically: “This extraordinary press kit sets standards with its high quality and the particularly emotional appeal that underlines how multifaceted and highly relevant print is.” Even the printed shipping carton of the DIN A4 box with a height of 8cm creates anticipation.
The key visuals of this year’s convention are shown on a white background – colorful planets, sparkling stars, a galactic fireball, all in a futuristic polygon style, colored according to the rainbow spectrum of the convention logo. The press kit itself is equipped with maximum quality of a 2 mm hardcover box with a matte cover coating and magnetic closure. Colorful planets float on a galaxy-black background, broken by bright stars. When you open the box, the eye-catcher comes into view: the exterior design continues seamlessly inside, a white illuminated screen is installed inside the lid, which bears the convention logo on a semi-transparent paper strip. The play button next to it contains the element of surprise. When you press it, not only does the logo light up, but the name of the addressee also becomes visible with an impressive brightness, like magic.
It is hardly surprising the box delighted the audience. The practical plus: as a central communication piece, it has space for individual press releases, but there was also a link to the associated landing page with all the digital information, texts and images about the event. “This hardcover press kit completely redefines value added print” said Rüdiger Maass, managing director of f:mp. Continuing he said “The special thing about this box is that it combines two innovations from Audio Logo. Bright-Bild® ensures the radiant backlighting of the logo and Secret-Paper® makes the personalized salutation visible at the push of a button.” The press kit becomes an experience box that people like to talk about and opens the horizon to the possibilities of modern print creations. The appreciation of the reporting journalists could not have been better expressed and the project partners are so impressed by the press box that they submitted it for the Druck & Medien Awards. Now it’s time to keep your fingers crossed.
